City Parks Building, Regina SK 2007
With a concern for on-site drainage and high levels of water seepage, DPLA designed a functional and aesthetically attractive landscape that resembles xeriscaping, but serves as a dry riverbed. This is both a low-maintenance and cost-effective approach; xeriscaping requires little maintenance for the introduced hardy, native plant species, while the dry riverbed is capable of absorbing runoff and directing to an appropriate location.
