University of Regina Daycare, Regina SK 2015

Located at the College West Courtyard at the University of Regina, DPLA designed a new outdoor facility for the children of the adjacent daycare that retained positive aspects of the existing conditions. Working directly with daycare staff, DPLA provided an adventurous space for the children with a mound slide, sandbox, gravel pit, and existing vegetation. The corridor leading to College West gained seating and bike racks for the students, enhanced existing trees, additional plantings, and inset nodes to encourage both ease of movement and spaces for resting.

Dr. A. E. Perry School Landscape Revitalization, Regina SK 2015

Due to general wear and tear of the vegetation and infrastructure of the entrance landscape at Dr. Perry school, DPLA was asked to evaluate the existing conditions and recommend affordable and simple updates to revitalize the landscape. Using the plans from the original DPLA design in 1998 and information gathered from site visits, the alterations are annotated in the image below.
